Workshop North

When approached by high-end carpenters Workshop North, who create bespoke window frames, doors and accessories at their purpose-built factory just outside Edinburgh, we were keen to build a website that would set them apart from the competition.

Rather than fall back on a predictable colour palette of heritage tones, we contrasted location photography (shot by Alastair Ferrier) with a bright yellow and black graphic treatment inspired by the machinery on-site.

The striking logo lends itself well to animation, while the use of parallax imagery and bold colour combination gives the single page WordPress site a contemporary feel.

Behind the scenes the Workshop North site has been optimised to include key content, and the client can share their latest creations via an integrated Instagram gallery feed.
