Putting the U in Quarriers.
We worked closely with the team at Scottish social care charity Quarriers on a new brand identity, in line with their strategic vision and plans for the future. The scope for this project not only included a new visual identity, brand style and tone of voice, but also a more accessible website design and ways of reaching out to new and existing audiences.
As one of Scotland’s leading social care charities, Quarriers provide practical care and support for children, adults and families, challenging poverty and creating opportunities for positive change. Given the organisation’s broad service offer and geographical reach, we were eager to communicate all the incredible work that Quarriers does, so the new brand design builds on strong foundations and harnesses the charity’s refreshed aims and values into a visual identity that is fresh, honest, inclusive and engaging across all platforms.
Playing on the inseparable relationship of the letters Q and U from Quarriers, our custom U character not only adds a friendly and approachable face to the brand but it also provides an opportunity for direct and memorable messaging. This is reinforced by a new strapline: Always with you, never without you.
In collaboration with Polytype, we modified an opensource display typeface to contain the unique Quarriers ‘U’. Under our guidance, this simple yet practical solution empowered their teams to add their own voices to the brand messaging while making each and every piece of communication wholly ownable.
