Kiltane

Capturing the fabric of the city for Kiltane.

Art Direction
Brand Identity

With a number of retail locations both in Edinburgh and across the UK, cashmere specialists Kiltane wanted to consolidate their digital presence and appeal to overseas markets. After delivering a full rebrand, Kiltane then asked us to reimagine their brand’s art direction for a new generation of customers.

Kiltane’s status as an independent, family-run business in the heart of Edinburgh underpins everything they do, so we wanted to celebrate the diverse fabric of the city with fresh perspectives on their historic Old Town home.

Enlisting the help of photographer David Anderson, stylist Katie Danger and makeup artist Mairi Gordon along with a team of talented models, we embarked on a series of shoots that would cast Kiltane in a new light.

Keen to avoid replicating stereotypical Edinburgh shots, the creative team sought out hidden corners of the city just off the beaten track and proposed a stylised and colourful yet casual approach to art direction.

The images and video from this ongoing series of shoots have set a new standard for Kiltane’s social and digital content, as well as providing visual assets for print material and in-store applications.
