From our discussions with staff, clients and research groups, we soon discovered that the organisation’s existing name, Addaction, was often a barrier to people reaching out and getting help.
Working with clients, staff and key audiences, we explored a range of new name options. The most favourite by far was WithYou, which is simple, memorable and perfectly conveys the organisation’s hands on, non-judgemental and human approach. To reinforce the sense of togetherness and support conveyed by this new name, the wordmarque featured a ligature or ‘handshake’ between the h and y letterforms.
Given the sensitive subject matter we wanted to avoid cliché in our art direction and reflect a more positive vision of the organisation’s aims and achievements. A series of stylised gestural illustrations added some colour and dynamism to the new brand palette.
