Lido
Following a series of successful branding projects for the Buzzworks Group, we were asked to come up with the identity for Lido, a contemporary cafe, bar and restaurant in Troon, a popular tourist destination on the West Coast of Scotland.
Inspired by the heritage of the area as a seaside resort, we developed a clean, modern and welcoming identity which was rolled out across a variety of applications.
A suite of bright colours (inspired in part by beach huts and beachballs) and a variety of tactile print applications helped bring the identity to life, while bold menu covers and traditional backlit signage - a more obvious reference to European cafe culture - provided an eyecatching contrast to the natural materials of the space itself.
