Katherine Emtage

Independent designer Katherine Emtage produces exceptionally high quality hand made bags, working with traditional materials such as Harris Tweed. She required a suitably striking brand identity that could be applied to a range of materials, from labels and flyers to swing tags.

Given the bespoke nature of Katherine's work, we were keen to reference elements of her craft in the identity, incorporating hand drawn typography and traditional print finishes throughout. Two bespoke fabric patterns were also created for bag linings, to further emphasise the balance between contemporary and vintage styling.

Katherine was recently featured at the 'Made in Clerkenwell' open studios event and she was also 'Maker of the Month' at Concrete Wardrobe, as well as featuring in the Skinny magazine.
